30 Day Self Portrait Challenge

Today, I am starting a 30 day self-portrait challenge. The idea came from Tiffany of Sincerely, Whitney and I can not wait to get started. I always feel super awkward taking photos alone and I am hoping this challenge will teach me a little something about lighting, composition, and posing! At the end of this there is nothing more fun than looking back on the photos of how you have grown!

All you have to do to join me is take a picture of yourself every day for the next 30 days. Try taking them in different places and at different angles and post them to your instagram. I would love to follow your journey as well! You can share your selfies via your blog, instagram (#xokyrasambria) or any other site you choose! I will be sharing mine daily via instagram (KyraSambria). At the end of the 30 days I will post all of my photos here and a few of yours too!

If you are in, leave me a comment and let me know where to find you! You can start at any time. I’m starting today!!

Don’t give up// Words of Encouragement

Flower in Field

The past few weeks/ months have been very discouraging for me. I have no idea where my life goes from here. I’m somewhat having a “quarter life crisis”. Sometimes I think.. maybe I’m too old to start dancing again, gosh I should have stayed in school, etc. etc. It just gets hard!! It’s life.

BUT, I WILL NOT GIVE UP! I refuse. And you really shouldn’t either because it will never be too late to do something you love. Start a blog or a new job, go back to school, pick up a new hobby. Don’t let others or yourself hold you back.

The bible says “You do not have, because you do not ask.” We must ask the Lord to send us what it is we want from our life but ultimately seek to fulfill the plans he has for us. Tonight, I will be praying for just that and I would love my readers to do the same! It is never too late!

TALKING ABOUT: My blog posts this week! Very exciting posts coming Friday, Saturday and Monday!!

READING: The Explicit Gospel by Matt Chandler- I just really got into it, but so far I am loving it and learning several new things about myself and the world around me.
